Finding reliable, good quality childcare where both you and your child will be happy is a tough job. Relax, you’ve found it at Grandma’s Place, a family owned and operated centre.
Grandma’s Place is an innovative centre, caring for babies through to primary school age, and focused on supporting your family. Using leading edge emergent curriculum, teaching staff will be focused on not only literacy and numeracy, but the social, emotional and physical development that is so important in preschool age children.
We know that working families need support not just for preschool age children, but also for school age children before and after school, as well as vacation care. Grandma’s Place has a dedicated primary school age program, which is exciting and age appropriate and overseen by our Director, an experienced primary school teacher.
Grandmas’ Place is situated in the former Sarina State Preschool in McCowan Street, Sarina. The building is being transformed with extensions, car-parking, extensive refurbishments and a new playground.
Outdoors, the beautiful old fig tree is central to the nature based playground. Each element of the outdoor areas has been carefully planned to maximize play opportunities that are developmentally appropriate for young children, and includes exciting features like bike pathways, water play and an extra dedicated infant playground.
The internal design is just as exciting. The babies room has two cot rooms (instead of one large one) making it easier for your baby to settle and supporting breastfeeding mums.
Meals are important at Grandma’s Place, and like any home, Grandma’s kitchen is central to our centre. Grandma’s kitchen will be cooking healthy, home cooked meals for your child each day, so bye bye to lunch boxes and hello to fuss free mornings!
Grandma’s Place provides excellent care, excellent curriculum in an excellent environment.
