After our successful Artist in Residence program in 2018, we are delighted to have Donna Robinson back for an intensive Artist in Residence program during November. Donna will be collaborating with the children of Grandma’s Place to build an exhibition of work for our end of year party on Sunday 16th December. Donna is a digital artist, and this year’s exhibition will feature a digital exhibition of the children’s project work and a mural created by the school age children.
The arts play a critical role in assisting young children to not only understand their world, but express this knowing, as they make sense of their experiences. The children from our First Three Years Wing are immersed in telling the stories of their walks around Sarina through digital stop motion film making at the moment with Donna and our team of professional educators are loving extending their artistic capacity to learn how to offer this after the residency has ended.
Donna will be working with all the children at Grandma’s Place over the coming month and we are delighted to have this wonderful professional artist in residency again and can't wait to see the final exhibition of childrens' work!
